Our Managing Attorney
Iqbal Singh Ishar, Esq.
Mr. Ishar has been a New York State Bar member since 1991. He also practices before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Academic Background
Mr. Ishar holds LL.M. degrees from Delhi University and Columbia University School of Law in New York. He was also a doctorate fellow at Columbia, completing a comparative constitutional law dissertation. Mr. Ishar has taught law at Delhi University and Jammu University. He held the positions of Adjunct Assistant Professor and Executive Director of the Hauser Global Law School Program at the New York University Law School.
National & International Conferences
He has participated in several prestigious national and international conferences and has published articles in leading Indian and American law journals.
He worked on various cases in New York State and Federal courts as a litigation associate at a top New York City legal firm before joining NYU Law School.
Other Achievements
He has held a position on the Asian American Bar Association's board. In the Bhopal gas leak case and a divorce proceeding, Mr. Ishar provided knowledgeable testimony regarding Indian law. His primary practice areas include:
