Our Founder: Mr. Iqbal Singh Ishar
Mr. Iqbal Singh Ishar has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1991. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Ishar holds LL.M. degrees from Delhi University and Columbia University School of Law in New York. He was also a doctoral fellow at Columbia, working on a dissertation in Comparative Constitutional Law. Mr. Ishar has taught law at both Jammu University and Delhi University. He served as Executive Director of the Hauser Global Law School Program and Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University Law School. He has participated in several national and international conferences and has published articles in leading Indian and American law journals. Before joining NYU Law School, he was a litigation associate at a major law firm in New York City, where he worked on a wide range of matters in New York State and Federal courts. He has also served on the board of the Asian American Bar Association. Mr. Ishar has also given expert testimony on Indian law in the Bhopal gas leak case and a divorce matter.
